I am a big fan of Robert Kiyosaki. A few years ago Robert repeatedly said that “Your house is not an asset” most people scoffed believing that your home is investment. Now that the mortgage meltdown went from a tropical storm to a full cyclone. Many people seeking the advise of financial gurus who offer a common sense approach coupled with unconventional wisdom. Here are a few clips of Robert speaking with KTLA regarding the state of the economy.
WHY POST CLOSING IS IMPORTANT
June 6, 2008 · Leave a Comment
This is a prime example of why POST-CLOSING is critical to a title insurance company’s operation. Many title professionals expect a post closing call “here or there”. Usually when the seller has a mountain of debt to payoff at settlement and a million checks are disbursed. After settlement customer service is not an option it’s a mandatory obligation as well as a liability. A policy holder should never call you more than once. This California woman purchased a home and received a notice for the prior owner’s debt. The title agency had closed shop. READ MORE

CELEBRITY FORECLOSURE
June 4, 2008 · Leave a Comment
The word “Foreclosure” is creeping it’s ugly head in Hollywood and this time it’s not in a horror flick. Johnny Carson’s much beloved sidekick Ed McMahon is facing the loss of his estate. The home is located in the prestigious community of Bel Air, California. The 6 bedroom 6 bath home is listed by Hilton & Hyland Real Estate. Although the property is for sale it has not sold for more than 2 years and McMahon has subsequently defaulted on his 4.6 million dollar mortgage. McMahon is $644,000 in arrears with ReconTrust a Division of Countrywide Financial. McMahon, 85 has been unsuccessful in landing new roles as a pitchman. Apparently the property will not sale because of it’s close proximately to the home of Britney Spears. The Realtor Alex Davis, says “When we were trying to sell the house one time, there were about 100 paparazzi there”. Hopefully McMahon will be able to work something out with his lender. I just think there should be a law that prohibits seniors from losing their homes.
